Frequently Asked Questions
Q: How do you inflate the bouncy castle when you have it delivered? Will I be able to put it down?
A: Our bouncy castles are inflated using electric fan blowers. They are simply plugged in to a suitable socket in your house or building; we supply long extension cables and RCD power breakers with all our castles and bubble machines, so you won't need a socket nearby. To deflate the castle, simply unplug the fan and it will slowly collapse. (make sure nobody is using the castle at the time)
Q: What will happen if it's raining or particularly bad weather on the day of the booking?
A: If the weather is bad/raining then call us and we'll decide what to do or we may call you to say whether we will deliver or not.
Q: How much space do I need for a bouncy castle?
A: The dimensions of our castles are shown in our gallery page, please also allow an additional 5 feet both front and back and at least two feet at the sides.
Q: What kind of access do you need to deliver the castle?
A: The castles are wheeled into postion using a cart, so we will need a standard sized path to get the castle into the garden or venue. If you have a lot of steps or a tight entrance way, please let us know so that we can come and assess the venue.
Q: Can the castles go indoors?
A: Yes the bouncy castles can go indoors, but you must check the height of the ceiling before you book. The ceiling must be higher than the height of the castle. The heights of all our castles are on our website.
Q: Are you fully insured, if a child gets injured who's to blame?
A: We carry two million pounds worth of public liability cover, however as per our terms and conditions (see website, home page) we cannot be held responsible for any injuries caused whilst the castle is in you care. You are the sole person responsible for the castle and it's use and therfore should anything happen, you are liable to a claim as the hirer. Our Public Liability covers US against set up faults or faulty equipment etc.
Q: How much notice do I need to book a castle?
A: As much notice as possible, During busy times we book up well in advance, so let us know as soon as you have a date in mind. We will do our best to accomodate you.
Q: Do you charge for cancellation?
A: In most cases we don't charge a cancellation fee, so long as you give us notice the night before, so we can hire the castle to someone else. If you give us little or no notice (other than for bad weather) then you may be liable to a £25 charge.
Q: When the castle is delivered, do I have to set it up myself or do you do it?
A: The delivery driver will completely set up the castle, give you a full demonstration on how to use it and then leave it in your control. We we turn up to collect the castle, we will also dismantle it.
Q: How many kids/adults are allowed on the castle?
A: Every castle has different limits, pleae note that children's castles should never be used by heavier adults. Remember the hirer is responsibel for any damage. Generally between 6 and 12 kids depending on the castle size, the driver will infor you of the limits.
Q: Is it okay to put a castle on my lawn, will it cause much damage?
A: We actually prefer to put the bouncy castle on a lawn area. For safety reasons we must hammer down in six securing pegs to hold the castle in place. The castle will have a ground sheet placed under it to prevent the grass becoming damaged. The peg holes will disapear after a few days.
Q: Can you put the bouncy castle on a concrete floor?
A: We prefer not to for safety reasons. If you have no other alternative surface, then please tell us during the booking so that we can arrange for sand bags to be in the vehicle when we deliver the castle. There may be an additional charge for this service.
Q: How long do I get to keep the castle?
A: We usually deliver the castles first thing in the morning and then collect them later on that day. Rentals are usually up to 6 hours.
Q: Am I allowed to hire this castle from you and charge people to use it?
A; Yes you are, but you must bear in mind that you are in charge and must make sure that people who use the castle are safe, don't overload the castle to try and make extra money. As the hirer your are liable for any injuries to users and damages to the castle.
Q: Are your castles safe?
A: Yes, they are designed from the ground up with safety in mind. In addition, we review all the safety rules with you prior to use. While no one can guarantee safety, we do everything we can to promote safe use of all our products to ensure you day is filled with fun, not hospital visits.
Q: How much does it cost?
A: Prices start from £49.99 for a childrens ball pool. All the prices are available on our website.
Q: What if it rains during use?
A; All our castles come with shower covers and all our extension leads are shower proof and fitted with a circuit breaker. So a light shower won't stop play.
Q: What age groups can use bouncy castles?
A: We cover all ages, we are insured for children, teenagers and adults.
Q: My Garden slopes a bit - will that be ok?
A: Yes, a slight slope is not a problem. Typically, we will place the entrance of the castle at the top of any slope. If the slope is more than a little, we may not be able to set up in that location. The delivery driver may request an alternate location, so please have one in mind. The safety of the children is the most important consideration when selecting an area.
Q: Does it need electricity? How much will it cost?
A: Yes, we will bring a 25 meter extension cable with us, so you will need to have a socket outlet near the set up area. The blower runs continuously and uses approximately £0.18 of electricity per hour. Your hair dryer uses more than that! All blowers and cables are checked before delivery.
Q: My party is tomorrow. Can I still get a castle?
A: Maybe! Give us a call and we will see what we can do.
Q: Can I keep the castle overnight?
A: Sorry, we do not hire overnight.
